Hemaraj Industrial Estate - "Detroit of the East"

Hemaraj's industrial estates are jointly managed with the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and receive promotion incentives from Board of Investment (BOI). The company's 4 industrial estates, Hemaraj Chonburi Indistrial Estate , Eastern Industrial Estate ( Map-Ta-Phut), Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong) and Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong), are in close proximity to 3 deep sea ports, 2 international airports with the third airport being planned, a network of  highways and railways, supplied by 4 large water supply reservoirs of 300 million cu. m. capacity, an extensive grid of self-generated and public electricity supply.

From April 2005, Hemaraj formed an industrial property joint venture with Cementhai Property, a subsidiary of The Siam Cement Public Company Limited to acquire shares in S I L Industrial Land Co. Ltd., in order to manage and to continue development of the two industrial zones. S I L Industrial Land, in Saraburi Province thus broadening our location and Rayong Industrial Land, in the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand add 7,000 rai or 2,800 acres under development.

Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong)

The Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong), a 60/40 joint venture with Siam Food Products PLC., developed since 1995 for automotive and auto parts, building materials, metal processing, consumer goods, and electronics production.  The area of 8,250 Rai or 3,300 acres in the Board of Investment Privilege Zone III, has the first 4 phases completely developed. Moreover, phase V and Free Zone are under developing The location in Pluak Daeng, Rayong is in proximity to the Chonburi coastal infrastructure, container port, and human recreational resources.

The Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong), development has been a resounding success, with 149 customers and 3,570 Rai sold, since 9 years of operation.

The Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong), has been known, as the “Detroit of the East”, and has become one of the most integrated automotive industrial estates in the world. This is due to the selection taken by Ford and Mazda (Auto Alliance Thailand) in 1995 processing the export oriented one-ton pickup and General Motors in 1996 manufacturing Chevrolet automobiles starting in 1998 and 2000, along with 6 Toyota group suppliers also operating at ESIE. A strong integrated supplier infrastructure exists in the estate with over 83 automotive related companies to date including glass, plastics, metal processing, steel service centers, forging plants, chemical and other related activities.

The Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate received the Ministry of Science and Technology Award ( EIA Award 1998 & 2000 ) for Best Environment Management.

Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong)

Adjacent to Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Hemaraj ESIE or ESIE 2) continues with the concept of auto cluster. The industrial estate covers a vast area of 9,497 Rai (3,799 acres), most of which is in BOI Zone III’s Rayong, while the rest is in BOI Zone II’s Chonburi. The new Detroit of the East is now under the first phase of development on approximately 2,000 Rai (800 acres).

Apart from General Industrial Zone, there will also be Free Zone (FZ) at Hemaraj ESIE. Free Zone is an area designated for export-oriented activities whereby tax and duty are exempted. Smooth operation of activities in this area is ensured by the Customs Department.

Hemaraj Chonburi Indistrial Estate

The Chonburi Industrial Estate includes steel mills, export processing, auto parts, building materials, and general industries. The estate is located directly on Highway 331 & Highway 3241 at Bo -Win, Sriracha, Chonburi Province and is the nearest private industrial estate to the container port Laem Chabang and Sriracha Harbour at 20 Kilometers.

Eastern Industrial Estate ( Map-Ta-Phut)

The Eastern Industrial Estate (Map-Ta-Phut) is designed for heavy industry Customers mainly from steel, petrochemical, and chemical industries. The Infrastructure and utilities is specific to heavy industries in the water capacity and waste water treatment capabilities. The estate is strategically located in Rayong Province, adjacent to the National Petrochemical Complex at Map Ta Phut, and 2 kilometers from Map Ta Phut Deep Sea Port in the heart of the Eastern Seaboard Development.

The Eastern Industrial Estate received the Ministry of Science and Technology Award (EIA Award 2000) for Best Environment Management.
